Hexagonal Wall Patterns Create Quick Sound Insulation

A design company called Form Us with Love has created hexagonal wall tiles that interlock and dampen sound from completely recycled materials. The modular design comes in a variety of colors to make any space pop. These hexagonal tiles are meant not only to provide an easy alternative to other wall coverings but also to improve the acoustics in a room and dampen sound throughout a space.

Each tile is made out of recycled wood fiber from wood processing scraps in North America. Believe it or not, the process of creating the lightweight fibrous tiles also makes them fire resistant and a fairly good thermal insulator. Adoption of a wall featuring these polygonal designs will likely take some time in residential spaces, but many commercial buildings are already taking advantage of the cost saving and space improving technology.
