Guide to Green Bay-area's summer outdoor music at parks, elsewhere

2022-06-10 20:47:00 By : Ms. Rose Shu

During a summer when everyone is looking to go easy on the gas tank, there's oodles of outdoor music to be had right in Green Bay's own backyard.

Even better: Most of it is free.

Whether you like your summer tunes along the Fox River, with a vineyard view, across from Lambeau Field, in a grand garden, at your neighborhood park or just anywhere with a cold beverage and a food truck nearby, there's a music series for that — over lunch, after work or on the weekend.

Summer traditions like Fridays on the Fox on CityDeck and the Green Bay City Band (for its 120th year!) are back. So are the popular hangs like the monthly igNight Markets in the Broadway District and LedgeStone Vineyards & Winery's Wine Down Thursday Concert Series, with a couple of those nights already sold out.

There are some new wrinkles this year, too.

Music on the Green concerts will be ticketed this year at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, where they'll move to a different green space. The Rock the Commons Concert Series at Village Center in Howard is on hold due to road construction. But you can add the new Washington Street Block Party gigs and a one-day Party on the Plaza out front of Resch Expo to the calendar.

It's a lot to keep track of, so to help you get the most music out of the summer of 2022, here's a rundown of who's playing where and when. Best advice: Keep your lawn chair and blanket handy.
