Chinese automotive maker XPeng Motors announced that the launch event of its medium and large SUV G9 is scheduled for September 21.

The XPeng G9 is based on the X-EEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture and is equipped with the Xpilot 4.0 auxiliary driving system and other intelligent configurations. The vehicle’s body size depends on the model, but, in general, the length, width and height of the XPeng G9 measure 4891/1937/1680 (1670) mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2998mm.

In terms of its interior, the XPeng G9 adopts an encircling console design, which is equipped with a full LCD panel, a 14.96-inch central control screen and a 14.96-inch co-pilot screen, which helps with interconnection. At the same time, the vehicle’s system has a built-in 8155 chip and is equipped with a new voice activated system.

The XPeng G9 features a 5D immersive console, a Dynaudio Confidence audio system, 28 acoustic units, 7.1.4 multi-channel music system and Dolby Atmos technology. In terms of human-vehicle interaction, the industry’s first mass-produced 3D user interface system carried by XPeng G9 is based on the company’s collaboration with Unity3D and its rendering engine.

In terms of power, the XPeng G9 will provide two sets of power systems: two-wheel drive single motor and four-wheel drive twin-motor, with the maximum power of 230kW and 175kW/230kW respectively. Equipped with a ternary lithium battery, the cruising range of the vehicles can go as far as 700km. In terms of charging, the G9 is equipped with the first 800V ultra-fast charging platform in China. With the S4 ultra-fast charging pile built by XPeng, charging from 10% to 80% will only take 15 minutes, while charging for 5 minutes will allow another 200 km of driving.
