GILLETTE, Wyo. — Campbell County’s Employee Recognition Committee will present the Campbell County Public Library an award at the board of commissioners meeting Tuesday.
The Star Worthy award recognizes a county department’s service, product, event or opportunity that benefits the county. The county’s Employee Recognition Committee collects nominations from department heads and supervisors.
The nomination form said Campbell County Public Library provides unique services to the Gillette community, including a makerspace for adults. The makerspace makes several services available for free or low cost to patrons, the form said.
• A new video lab with a pre-set professional camera, lighting, microphone, and green screen that saves videos to a digital file. Patrons can create projects such as audition tapes, product demonstrations and public service announcements. • A digitization station with with VHS to DVD conversion, slides and photos to digital formats, and recording and editing software for patrons to edit videos, photos and music. • A sound lab that provides professional quality mics, headphones, and software to create polished audio recordings.
